up-trace Datamatrix: identification by micropercussion...

Today, the Damatrix code became impossible to circumvent for many solutions of identification.
« Real portable data-base » by its very high storage capacity of information, it combines advantageous continuity and cost.

Whether it is printed or engraved, the Datamatrix code became one of the revolutionary technologies in the world of marking and is more and more often recommended in the international directives.

Concerned to be at the front line in this field, UP trace proposes inter alia techniques of marking by micro-impact or micropercussion.
The principle is based on a deformation in hollow of the matter thanks to a vibrating carbide point which creates a character by succession of points.

This technique allows a permanent marking on all the materials which accept an elastic strain and which have a hardness lower than 63 HRc (steel treated or not, stainless, aluminium, copper, brass, plastics, wood, glass...).

…thanks to hyperperformants readers

The Datamatrix codes readers COGNEX In Sight fixed-mount ID provide unmatched code reading performance. They integrate lighting, camera, ID software, processor and communications, into an industrial-grade design, making them the most versatile and rugged fixed-mount readers available today.

Their advantages:
- real-time reading of 1D and 2D codes at rates over 7200 ppm
- fast setup plus reliable and robust operation
- includes IDMax, the industry’s most reliable Datamatrix reading software
 - industry-standard mark quality assessment metrics for 1D and 2D codes

Our partner UBScode innovates !

Caring to remain with the point of technologies in order to better meet your requirements in terms of automatic marking, our partner UBScode has just supplemented his range with two new products:

  • The Aplink LC series : large character printing high resolution Inkjet systems

Solvent or oil-based Inkjet printers, the Aplink LC series have been developed by UBScode engineers for printing high quality barcodes (fullfilling the GS1 regulations) and images on any type of surface.

These are suitable for industrial installations with a variable product volume, and, thanks to the software developed by UBS, has the capability to obtain printing data from an external database.
It can also be connected to PLC in order to select messages to be printed, and can print variable data on top or side up to 30 meters/minute.

Aplink LC-SV, for example, is a high resolution solvent-based Inkjet printer, for printing immediately any type of high quality barcode on non-porous surface, but also 180 X 180 dpi images.
Outstandingly, it’s able to carry out the codification of products in real time and right in the production lines.

  • The APL 7000 and 7000 rotative series : Print&Apply for A5 labels

Near to the series of the APL 4000 intended for the impression and the application of labels on boxes, the 7000 series allows from now on, thanks to a blade of big size, to apply A5 labels on boxes.

Siemens RFID Tags RF620T and RF640T: "When the RFID raises the taboos"

The radio frequency identification (RFID), advanced technology of traceability, is from now on at the center of the topicality and, in many cases, by its many assets, logistically impossible to circumvent.
However, one knows the debate which opposes the defenders and the detractors of the RFID; criticisms formulated are mainly related to its effectiveness in certain environments (metal proximity, of liquids, detergents...).

From now on, with SIMATIC RF620T and the SIMATIC RF640T, Siemens raises the taboos surrounding the use of radio frequency tags on metal supports and/or in hard industrial conditions.

Rewriteable transponder SIMATIC RF640T is a small extremely robust electronic label. Having to be gone up directly on metal (management of tools, vats, latticed cases and metal devices...), it contains up to 216 bytes of useful data, can be used between -25° C and +85° C (until 130° C in operation) and is characterized by a high resistance with oils, products of lubrication and cleaning. Its typical range is 2m.

The tag for containers SIMATIC RF620T is characterized by its capacity withbeing used under hard industrial conditions (robust plastic and high strength to the cleaning products).
This passive device and without maintenance rests on UHF Class1 Gen2 technology for the recording of the Electronic Product Code (EPC) on 96 bit.
It can be affixed on the plastics, wood, glass (i.e. containers, pallets, barrels, carriages...) or even used in food industry (plastics).
It can also, used with a spacer, being fixed on metal support or ESD. It thus aims primarily the identification and the traceability of products and goods in the fields of logistics (distribution, warehouse) and of transports.
