La Rulles brewery: independence even to the boxes!
Managing the traditional brewery La Rulles, an artisan caring about his independence and his product's quality: Grégory Verhelst
Founded in 2000, the brewery presents nowadays a 2000 hl/year volume from which 60 % leaves for export to countries such as Italy, United-States, Japan, France… About products: a lager, a brown ale, a triple one and seasonal beers such as the "Estivale" or the "Meilleurs Voeux"… Only good things!

Through a personal control of the production, Grégory Verhelst wishes to guarantee the taste recognition and his product's typicity; we really are in the world of the special and artisanal beer. The growth being linked to the demand - and this one is really present! - Grégory Verhelst has projects full of his head while caring more than ever for his independence: a project of production and stocking surface doubling is gaining ground.

In the framework of these investments, La Rulles brewery trusted UP trace for the equipment with a half-automatic production line including a TapeMatic type box-closer, conveyors and, last but not least, a UBS Aplink high resolution inkjet marking system for boxes.
This investment followed many goals:
- automatisation of the boxes closing
- suppleness of their marking
- independence for the marking.
These last 2 points allow:
- to respond to the european and regional standards (traceability)
- to conform to the large stores standards (EAN128)
- to adapt the marking to the products or to the seasons (logo).

The use of neutral boxes and the very low cost-by-print come and complete that autonomy.
Last advantages - and not least - for Grégory Verhelst: simplicity for installation and, moreover, for use of the UP trace solution.

In order to confirm La Rulles brewery's development through new markets, the installation by UP trace of a barcode stock management will complete the automate and the use of standards such as EAN128 or the pallet SSCC code.
