Therefor, it is essential to build a complete, homogeneous and global approach in order not to limit the relevance of the traceability device. On the basis of clearly defined objectives and expectations, it should be integrated in the whole of the processes and procedures concerned, by connecting it with the common actions of the users.
In the same time, using it to enrich its client relationship while endeavouring to understand their waitings and needs will be an advantage. The project was born due to the need of Sunny Delight Beverages to codify all its secondary packaging range and to standardize in a single pack for all the product lines.
With UBS code, they developed the appropriate solution to cover that lack: a complete marking system installed on their own production line, composed by two units of high resolution Inkjet Industrial printer, APLINK MR-780, placed on both sides of the line. Inkjet printing system fitted with high performance and is able to print a 310 mm length message, directly on the box, which includes DUN-14 barcode, product description, batch and hour at high linear speed of 60 boxes/minute.
The benefits obtained by Sunny Delight have been immediate: instead of using different secondary packaging for each product line, they now use a unique and standard box for all its product range, differentiated by the message printed on the box in real time. The UBS Inkjet printing systems efficiency dramatically reduces the costs due to the minimum maintenance required. The final result of this industrial highly equipped system is an assured return on investment.
Consequence for this project: reduction of packaging, consumable and technical assistance costs thanks to a great flexibility.
